<br>1. What are the differences between ASA and ABS? <br>ASA and ABS are both synthetic resin materials. ASA resin is a copolymer of "acrylate", "acrylonitrile" and "styrene". In comparison to ABS, ASA undergoes a fundamental change in weather resistance by replacing "butadiene rubber (B)" with "acrylate (A)" without double bonds. Due to ASA's excellent weather resistance, it can maintain stable properties even under prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions such as UV radiation, rain, light, and ozone. ASA provides strong protection against degradation, aging, and fading caused by UV exposure. <br>ASA was developed as an engineering plastic to address the poor weather resistance of ABS. It retains ABS's good mechanical properties, including high strength, good toughness, and easy processing ASA printing typically produces fewer odors than ABS. However, it is recommended to print both in well-ventilated environments <p></p> <br>2. What are the differences between ASA and ABS in practical use? <br>ASA's weather resistance is significantly superior to ABS, especially in outdoor environments, where ASA exhibits minimal color changes and degradation of physical properties. ABS is commonly used for manufacturing electronic and electrical enclosures, automotive interior parts, toys, etc. ASA is more suitable for outdoor products such as outdoor furniture, automotive exterior components, construction materials, etc.
Sunscreen and Weather Resistance
Creality HP ASA exhibits exceptional resistance to UV radiation, aging, and corrosion. Models printed with it maintain a fresh appearance even when exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods.
Sturdy and Long-lasting
Its toughness and high impact strength make it ideal for outdoor applications and standard structural needs.
Enhanced Heat Resistance
Creality HP ASA, unlike regular PETG or ABS, can maintain its form even at 100°C.
High-speed Printing
The printing speed can reach up to 200mm/s. It can be printed smoothly and consistently at high speed without clogging.

Printing Recommendations:
1. Since ASA has high hygroscopicity, thorough drying is required before printing. It is recommended to use a matching Creality drying box, and preheat and dry it at 65 degrees Celsius for 8 hours
2. Use the substrate heating function to enhance material adhesion
3. Use equipment with activated carbon purification packs for printing, and close the chamber during printing
During the printing process, ASA may produce irritating odors. It is advisable to use enclosed equipment with an efficient exhaust system and provide a well-ventilated environment.
