The new Belva BXD4K is a Class D amplifier utilizing a small but efficient MOSFET transistor. MOSFET amplifiers are designed to process digital signals with a lower power consumption. By using less power, MOSFET amplifiers lose less energy to heat dissipation. Losing less energy due to heat means Class D amplifiers, such as the Belva BXD4K, have a higher efficiency rate of 90% compared to their AB class counterparts that feature an efficiency rate of 50 to 70%.
